1 c Sugar
2 ea Eggs (unbeaten)
1 c Raisins (chopped)
2 c Rolled oats (uncooked)
2 c Flour
1 ts Baking Soda
1/4 ts Salt
1/2 c Milk
1 ts Vanilla
1/4 ts Maple extract
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs; beat well. Add raisins and rolled oats; mix.
Sift flour, baking soda and salt together; add alternately with milk to which vanilla and maple extract have been added.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Yield: 3 dozen.
